Moment Three

INFORMATION ABOUT  THE CHOSEN POPULATION.
The population chosen is a 2014 promotion of a private school in a very exclusive area in Bogota. As we can realise the institution has a bilingual status which enables learners to enhance their abilities whether in Spanish bases or English. Another fact that  turns this school into  a place that students' needs are even more increased is the schedule, they study 8 hours and are only 19 students. Hence, I think that this kind of institutions are greatly helpful for students so as to teach them the way of succeed in life, not only academically but also as future professionals.

INFORMATION ABOUT  THE CHOSEN SKILL.
Well, I chose Writing because it is an essential skill in students' learning development  and it gives them patterns to transmit knowledge and  points of view in a different way, and in a world plagued of virtuality and messages what better than improve you writing and grammar skills.
Also, I think that writing is a very useful output skill if the schools have the right tools to share it with the students, and if the schools find the proper way of teaching writing this is going to show students a new world where they can express themselves by means of writing. I mean, we can improve our english writing with a lot of strategies such as: Vocabulary, videos and the most important "lectures".

ACTIVITY PROPOSED.
I think that the best way for studying Writing and even better in an institution like this is by means of the partners, I mean, the students from this school can be assigned to work in peers in order to enhance their skils, therefore, at the end of the class they feedback eachother so as to realise about strenghts and wecknesses that still need to be improved.

After the first stage has finished, in the second one students are going to write about what they like and dislike most about human being, once students develop the work, they are going to read it loudly in order to receive opinions of classmates and teachers.

ACHIEVEMENT TESTS
 I think this Colombian education has changed a lot during the past fifteen years, I mean, the way teachers  have been teaching english to 8 and 10 years old children is misleading because they are not actually  teaching, they are wasting time with them, instead of being more involve in learner's movement no matter how old they are.
-Sometimes teacher are not involved in how learners of this kind of age learn and acquire something effectively. Turning somehow their  progress more slowly.

-This "pedagogical tool" is for particular purposes that are stated from the beginning of a certain group and courses which is taught language.

-Another very helpful goal that this pattern enables is to keep a process where the teacher will be more in touch with every student.

-There are many kind of achievements tests, but the most useful or common is final achievement which is greatly used at the end of the courses.

-Of course this final  achievements should be according to the books, copies and material.

 -We can see in this method several ideas and steps to follow and make even better the education in our learners.

Moment 1

1. According to the characteristics of the group, how does the concept of Validity apply in their evaluation process?
I think it is because of the way of learning, i mean the way students are getting involve and getting knowledge throughout the course. Also because at the end of the course, every student, teacher and the academic in general will realise what the learners ave learned and what they have to enhance.

2. According to the characteristics of the group, what aspects could affect the reliability of the evaluation process?
Firstly, i think that evaluation is what could affect reliability because speacially in this classroom the teacher does not  do or preset assessment to find out what the level of the students is.


3. To consider as a “summative” could be the evaluation a large place, it means at the end of a certain topic, we all know that this kind of evaluation are very common when achieving a secocnd language and more in an academic where everythin is already preset.

I'm a little confused with what type of evaluation, when you talk about the skills assessment I can remember. I think there are several types of evaluation but I am not clear how many.

I think you did a good job, it contains what the evaluation rubric says. 
I agree with you when you said that assessment is like the outcomes of what the teacher does "within" the classroom, i support your ideas and i think  that the way of teaching is quite relevant in the evaluation results. Although i guess, also could have been well whether you had expanded your opinion.

I also agree with you when you expressed that the evaluation has to be elaborated at the end of a certain subject, i think is the best way by  evaluating learner's advancement and it enables and give students more time to practice and understand in a better way the topics.

Finally, i think the foremost individual to realise whether the assessment is reliable or not is the student as you said in your comment.

I totally agree with you, i think you have made a meaningful contribution to what evaluation is, i support you when you talk about qualitative and quantitative, i think those are quite important  products in assessment inasmuch as help teachers and  institutions to guarantee the learners´ improvement.

I also liked when you  expressed how learner should be evaluated, i mean all students have to be estimate in the same way as you say.

I don't get it very well your opinion, but i agree with you when you say that evaluation is the "merit" or feedback to a certain subject, where teachers  look for improvement skills.
